The Ministry of Defense of the Interim Damascus Government announced a four-day ceasefire late last night. In response, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said in a statement that they would adhere to the ceasefire and suspend military operations as long as no attacks were carried out against their positions.

Despite the announcement, several ceasefire violations were reported within hours. According to the SDF, militias affiliated with Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and supported by Turkey carried out four separate attacks.

At 8:20 p.m., HTS militias attacked al-Aqtan Prison in the city of Raqqa, where ISIS militants are detained. The SDF said one of its fighters was wounded in the assault.

Less than an hour later, at 9:11 p.m., HTS forces shelled the city of Zirganê in the Jazira Canton using howitzers. At approximately 9:55 p.m., another attack targeted the village of Til Barûd on the Abyad road south of Hesekê.

Later in the night, HTS militias attempted to advance toward the town of Sirîn in the Kobanê region. SDF fighters reportedly repelled the attack and forced the assailants to retreat following a strong response.
